Another book map! I love this one from artist Mark Adams, who created an infographic to show the locations of 42 works of American literature. It was featured on mental_floss, and I’ve added it to the Resources page on Andrea Reads America. Hat tip to Krista Stevens for sharing this!
How many of these have you read?
I love this! I’ve only read 14 of these books. My degree is in English literature; I feel so ashamed. 😦

No need to feel ashamed! There are thousands of books in the world — your degree doesn’t mean you had to read _these_ books 🙂

The Shining? To each their own. 🙂

I’ve read 20, if you include Flannery O’Connor’s “Wise Blood.” which I started a few days ago. I had to re-read your post to realize the map is the location of the settings rather than the author’s home state, because I thought hey, Flannery O’Connor isn’t from Tennessee. The story is set in Taulkinham, though.

I’ve read 20 also! By the end of this project, though, I’ll have read a majority 😉

23! But I think there could be a long discussion about which books are not on the list.
